New “Fresh Living” book hits shelves on March 24th!

There are literally hundreds of green living books in bookstores across the country so why add one more? Answer: consumers asked for an easy, fun and motivating approach to fresh living.
The new green book on shelves by Sara Snow titled, Sara Snow’s Fresh Living: The Essential Room-by-Room Guide to a Greener, Healthier Family and Home, approaches fresh living from a personal, realistic standpoint. Sara Snow is the host of Discovery Channels Get Fresh with Sara Snow and Fresh Living as well as the daughter of one of Eden Foods co-founders, a national brand natural & organic food company founded in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1968.
Sara lived a lighter lifestyle as a child long before sustainability was the topic of conversation. Her approach to elevating green consciousness caters to the novice recycler as well as the mature compost enthusiast. The book is organized in easy room-by-room categories and highlights small steps you can take to conserve household resources and finances, eat healthier and most importantly be a responsible consumer. The book also includes “green sidebars” where the authoress interviews green pioneers who through grassroot initiatives helped their communities’ develop programs for responsible consumerism and fresher lifestyles.
I personally find Sara’s approach to elevating green consciousness refreshing. Her insights are personal and approachable without leaving you feeling overwhelmed or discouraged. If you will be in the Chicago area March 23, 2009 Sara will be signing copies of her book at Connect Chicago, an innovative retail and social conscious development space.
What good green books are you reading? Let me know in celebration of knowledge sharing!
