Just let go
Holding on to tension or frustration can not only cause physical pain but it can significantly impact your mental and psychological well-being. Being in control can be perceived as a positive attribute but there are times when giving in will get you further than fighting back.
When you feel constricted, stagnant or stuck ask yourself what are you resisting and why? Recovery first begins with acknowledgement. Breathe through the physical signs of resistance and allow oxygen to flow through your body. Oxygen is nutrient rich and has cleansing and healing properties. Ask yourself, “what would happen if I let go…if only for a moment?” Notice what happens. You will have a sense of ease, relaxation and release. Your body will submit to the tension and flow through it effortlessly.
Only when you acknowledge resistance will you truly take control of your mental, physical and psychological well-being. Letting go will open new gateways of healing and happiness.
