Commitment is sometimes feared or avoided but this is rarely the case when we are in tune with ourselves, our needs, desires and wants. The first step to committing to a new lifestyle pattern, relationship or direction is to understand your contribution and role. How will you drive this decision, what is at risk if success isn’t obtained and what pleasures lay on the other side of accomplishment?
Commitments can be prerequisites for emotional, physical and mental depth but they can also inadvertently build boundaries which can prohibit us from taking necessary steps towards self-improvement. Everything in life has a cycle of birth, growth, decline and death. The most important commitment we should make every morning is to be true to ourselves. Maintaining your course-of-action will seem effortless once you’ve found something you wholeheartedly want to commit to. Commit to growth, commit to happiness and commit to be the best you possible everyday.
